I kept the tree trunk on lower left corner so that the spider web would not look like it's hanging in mid-air.
Cropped to 35 % of FF.
1/180s, f/8.0, ISO 1100 +0.5EV.
600mm + TC 1.4 on D3X.

I love this bird and this is a great shot of him. I find they never come out in the open and spend a lot of time in the tops of trees. Nice techs on this and the BG is perfect.

Very nice Claude the spider web adds a lot. I would crop a little more off the top and add a touch more sharpening to the face.

Nice to see the great crest on this species, Claude. Very clean look at the flycatcher and the spider web is a big bonus. The head looks a mite soft compared to the body, but that could just be an illusion.

I like the perch with the web, the position of the bird in the frame is also nice Claude. I do wish it was a touch sharper. Think a bit more sharpening could fix that. Might be from the large crop.

Your larger version shows the bird nicely. Great bg and I think keeping the trunk was wise. I would take a fair amount from the top. Nice job! Sharon

Great Image Claude and very well composed.
Both versions are outstanding however, I do believe the first would look better framed and hanging on the wall.

Very, very nice Claude. I like the perch and the spider web. It is also nice that the bird is facing towards you.
Well done.
