Rogue River Power

The Rogue River carves a path through the lava rock near Crater Lake in the Natural Bridge viewing area near Prospect, Oregon .
The Rogue River flows about 215 miles in a westward direction from the Cascades to the Pacific Ocean.
The force of the water through the narrows and lava tubes is a amazing and spectacular.
This is a crop from a vertical capture.

Very nice, Rick. I like the leading lines from front to back. I don't know if it's my laptop monitor, but I'm seeing a subtle blue/aqua cast in the shadows. I think it's hard to control dynamic range in a scene like this, but you've done a good job with that.

Beautiful image Rick. Draws my eyes nicely through the canyon. Nice detail in large image. Well done.

Comments appreciated and those extra set of eyes helps finalize our projects. Jared's suggestion looks to be spot on and slight color correction(slight) and slight levels adjustment looks better to me. :wavey:
thanks for looking. :toast:

Beautifully done. Like the naturalness of your handling of the midday lighting. Not surprised with the blue cast in the shade.

Rick,

This is much more nicely processed than the previous image. I really like the point of view and the notion of being drawn in to the scene. I like the repost with the Levels adjustment that brought out the midtones and general brightness a bit, without losing contrast or color. Speaking of color, my comment would be about the cyan in the water around the bottom of the frame, more so than any shadow color. It's minor, but something to look at. I like this one!

Rick, I like this composition and nice job handling the range of light. My personal choice (nit picking) would be to crop a bit off the top so the tree trunks are not visible. This may give the illusion of taller walls and possibly a slightly better directing of viewers eyes.
