May first ever decent sighting of this bird, and of course it is eating a snake
This was taken in what is probably the remotest game reserve I have ever visited Niassa in Northern Mozambique

EOS 1DX
500mm F4 MkII
ISO 800
1/320
EV +0.67
hand held from open vehicle

This is a very impressive and powerful looking raptor. I don't mind that it has a snake and not a lizard! There is a halo on the bottom of the perch, possibly from a selection you made in processing. The angle is a little steep, but this still gives us a very nice view of this handsome bird. Nice job getting the whole snake in, too! Sharon

Excellent detail, Ken. Too bad about the band of brightly lit leaves, but they don't distract too badly.

Nice pose of beautiful bird with very succesfull exif setting.
By the way, I believe you have very stable hand, like additional IS; with 1/320 using 5 kg equipment . TFS.
