I made this stitched panorama image of a virgin forest in central Sweden during my recent spring trip to Scandinavia. I'm always fascinated by the dead trees in such forests.

I like the composition and the colors you've brought out. It's hard to tell about the detail. A larger version would have been nice. Check out the tip of the month July 2013 in NPN Discussion for uploading just a large file.

Nice colors and the pano format emphasizes the fallen tree rather nicely, Chris. I agree with Allen about including a larger version for viewing and critiquing.

Chris,

A little late here, but wanted to add a comment. I too like that you've captured and told an excellent nature story here with the fallen, crashed tree. Colors and processing look good, although I think it suffers from a little compression loss, and so yes, a large version would be nice. Did you know you can now upload a single, larger 1200px version and NPN will resize the 720 version for you, so you only have to prepare and upload 1 file. Works pretty well from what I've seen so far.

Thanks posting!

Allen, Ed and Lon, thanks for your comments. I agree that posting a larger picture would have been better and I will do that in future. On the other hand the very fine detail that is present in the original file (the original file comes from an MF camera and is 12000 px wide) doesn't show up either in a 1200 px wide picture. But again thanks for your comments.
