One of a contingent of triplets, this cow had just jumped in a clumsy fashion, but got going soon enough.

I have seen a lot of Moose in the water, but I don't think I have seen one swimming before. Nice composition and the exposure is good. The upper right corner is a bit distracting.

Moose are great swimmers and well adapted to water. The water provides aquatic vegetation to eat, relief from the flies, it cools and provides escape from predators if needed. Good sharpness on the moose and the reflections and colors in the water are perfect. It's great that you managed to catch a head turn, so often they are gone and don't look back.

Brad,
Love the water in this one, but wonder whether more detail could be brought out from the Mooses head?

The reflected colors and ripples become the subject in many ways. Is this a strong crop?

Lon; This is 80% of full frame, I cropped out dark shoreline in the upper right. (Also accounts for Richard's comment on the upper right.)
Ken; This cow had a fairly light facial area so I was reluctant to do too much selective darkening.
