You found yourself a nice bull on Trail Ridge Richard. Love the summer felt and looks like you had nice light to work with. I do wish he had just a little more head turn. Also, I might play with bringing down the warmth and tint just a tad. Seems to have a tiny bit of a yellow and/or green color cast to it.

Hi Richard, I have to agree with everything Kurt mentioned. Not sure if it is the head turn, or if in his state of bliss chewing cud and has closed eyes, but would be nice so see that eye. Might add that I think the photo could use just a whisker more room at the bottom.

I would agree with Gary and Kurt on the warmth and FG. Great sharp image and the DOF works well. The details in his fur are excellent.

Nice looking elk photo. I think I photographed elk in just about this same spot in 2010. I also wish his head was just a bit more towards the camera. Also, I would suggest cloning out the ear tag, at least it is not one of those big dangling things. I like the texture you caught in his coat as well. Thanks for sharing.

My tastes would hope for a closed mouth and open eye...but that is one fine bull. With the foreground so nicely focused, if you have more, I feel it would enhance the scene a bit.
