The way out

When I was photographing waterfalls in the early summer, I came across this small cave. I went in and and I was surprised how different the view was. The cave is located deep in the canyon. The warm light outside the cave created the glow of greens and the darkness inside strengthened it. I hope this photo can give you a feeling of warmth and cold that I felt when I was there. C&C appreciated.

Makes me feel like a Hobbit. Out of the box and sweet. Closer to the opening and more forest, maybe :wavey:

Interesting concept, Artur. I think I understand what you were going for, but I think for my tastes at least this would be stronger with more of the emphasis placed on the forest and just enough of the cave to frame the scene. Maybe I'm just not in a dark and mysterious mood today. :wavey:

I agree with the crop. Looks like I posted wrong very dark file. Here is what I was going for. I'm going to work more on this concept next year when greens are back.

Looks like a glimpse into the world of a bear...

Great work at controlling shadow detail here, but I find the magenta band at the mouth of the cave a little distracting.

The repost is spot on. I like it a lot more and I think it still conveys the contrast of warmth and cold that you wanted to convey.

I prefer the repost also. It's a wonderful, different perspective you've given to this forest scene. Very nice.
