Weeping Within
by David Edwards
Taken at a place called Weeping Rock in the New England National Park - a world heritage park containing some of the most beautiful and untouched Gondwana rainforest in Australia.
This basalt cliff constantly "weeps" water from the many springs above it, and consequently, it is covered in a variety of mosses and ferns.
I recently spent 6 days in this magnificent area exploring the ancient forests and soaking up the beauty. This particular morning was immensely foggy as I descended down the near vertical Eagles Nest Trail about 20 minutes before dawn. It was just a wonderful and magical experience.
Many thanks for your thoughts.
David.
