Planet Zinnia

I liked the orb shape to this flower, so I put a heavy vignette to emphasize the shape as almost planetoid.

5D, 28-135mm, tripod, shutter release, iso400, 1/6 sec., f/11,

C&C always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

I really like zinnias, Morris, and this one is a beauty. The center, with the single gold floret, is what really catches the eye. I like the dark bg and square comp. Well done.

Morris - after mastering stacking, I thought you ventured into scanning now  . The repeating pattern is highly interesting for me here - the center and the lone star shaped yellow stamen (?) in the center acts as an excellent pivot for everything to radiate from there.

Morris: The yellow floret makes this shot for me. Well conceived, captured and presented. >=))>

WOW , looks like you could have shot this with a fish eye with the way the center pops off the screen !

Big and Bold...I love it. Just crush and smear the viewer's nose and eyeballs in beauty. Cool. That center variety adds a lot of interest.

Morris,
This is Too Cool, well seen and captured.
I agree with everyone's comments so far and will add that the fading colors from the center out is very intriguing and further enhances the planetoid effect.
Outstanding . . . :toast:

Just beautiful - exceptional definition - particularly in that great center - gorgeous colour, neat comp, and the black BG sets this off well.
Congrats on the fine WP!

Great shot, Morris. I like the little bit of yellow in the center that's offset - gives it a little character. Congrats on the WP :toast:
