I spent a little time last weekend shooting these sunflowers under some nice light. I shot this one with the intent of cropping it into a pano. So, I cropped a fence along the bottom and some of the sky. I'll post this about as large as I can, but you unfortunately won't be able to see all the bees (about 7 including one in flight) that are visible when viewed larger. My wife loves this one, but I'd like to get your opinions/suggestions. Nikon D600, 24-70 f2.8 @ 31, f22, 1/160, iso 500. :wavey:

Scott - This is lovely. I could spot the bee in flight against the 2nd main bloom from the left. This really needs to enjoyed in a extra large version. Though not a nit, a more blue-ish sky would have helped the flowers stand out more I guess !

A very joyful mood to this one. And, it's a smorgasbord of different colors and patterns of sunflowers. The pano works great for me. Excellent, and I would say your wife has good taste.

Thanks Ram and Morris. So here is a version with more blue. May be difficult to say at this size, but let me know about this version.

Love the angle of view on this one, Scott. A very ordinary scene captured with some impressive thought to enhance the visual impact. Well done.

I do prefer the second with the more blue applied.

I like this a lot! The pano crop works very well. I prefer the second version with the bluer sky.

The second version is nicer with more blue in the sky. I like the panoramic crop a lot. What a great variety of colors of blooms you captured! Really unusual, and even better with bees (wish I could see them all). I'm with your wife 100% - I love this! Sunflowers are my favorite blooms.

I agree with your wife, this is a winner. You have the sense of looking up at the flowers, which I'm sure you were doing, and the crop is just perfect, along with the dappled sky in the background. Very sunny and summery1
