Taken at the Columbus, OH Zoo. This male Mandrill was just relaxing in the sun and I was able to capture him in full yawn. Would hate to run into those fangs in person.

Nikon D3x
Nikon 200-400mm vr
400mm @ 5.6 1/1000
ISO 200

Don't you love these guys! Wonderful action shot... sharp focus and good background. I know they have brilliant colors in mating season, but I would suggest a slight decrease in saturation, especially the reds. Does the next image in the sequence have a little more of his eye showing?

Neat shot of this mandrill. They have some serious teeth! To me your colors look fine, but I would like to see just a bit more eye and a little more room around this guy. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments. This is the best in the series. In the others his eyes are closed...oh well guess I get to go back and try again

The image is very good. Good dof, detail, color and pose. Everything works very well together.
