On the Hidden Lake trail at Glacier Nat. Park there was a very large rock that was flat on top. A mother goat and her kid were laying on top trying to sleep. To many hikers disturbing them, but they never did stand up. I shot a lot of images of them, but this is the only one that I really liked. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

Beautiful capture a little more DOF may have gotten the kid in focus also.

It is good that the goats weren't bothered to the extent that they had to get up and vacate. A hard species to find and photograph in my experience. I do find the framing a bit tight, especially to the right side of the kid and at the neck of the mother. Maybe focusing on just the nanny for a tight portrait might have worked here? Image quality looks very good and I like the background for these subjects. Thank you for sharing this photo Richard.

Image quality is excellent as mentioned, sharp, strong colors and a well balanced exposure. I agree with Gary that the framing feels tight. Not sure where you were in the 120-400 lens though, but pulled back enough to give both goats more room, or conversely, tightened up on just the nanny, might work well. I especially like the colors and textures around the nanny's mouth and that her white fur did not get all blown out. :toast:
