I spent some time over the summer in the western part of the South Pacific. This shows sunrise over a black beach on the main island of New Caledonia.
Wish I could say that I trekked for hours through the night to reach this remote spot before dawn, but we camped right next to this beach so I literally rolled out of the tent onto the beach…

Any other title suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Karsten, This is a beautiful image to me. Great comp with wonderful light and color. I love the looks of the water over the sand and the reflected gold and blues. A pretty cool place to camp too!

This is really nice. I love the sky and the reflection in the wave wash. Nice detail, too.

Your use of diagonals and the nice color and water motion on the beach really make this work. What a beautiful place to camp and wake up to.

Exquisite, only a bit of lightening on hill would improve this for me.
Well done.

I wish I could help you out with the title - nothing better comes to mind right now :frown: The light and reflection are gorgeous! The bubbles are such a cool part of the image. A simple and inviting place at optimum lighting. :toast: The edge of the bubble surf might be a little too close to the frame edge, I would prefer a little breathing room, but very minor.

Karsten,

I'm really enjoying the symmetry of the reflection. The foamy bubbles in the sand provide some great interest and texture as well.

How about "Sky Hook?" At least the reflection looks like a fishing barb to me.

thanks for the comments, guys...
Lon, super suggestion... that would make good use of that arrow-type reflection. Thanks :wavey:
