Drinking Deep #2

A honey bee on verbena. The bees seemed to home in on the verbena florets despite there being very few of these flowers in the garden where I took this shot.

Canon 7D, Tamron 55-200mm lens @ 200mm, 1/2000 sec @ f8, - 1.33ev, ISO 640, hh.

Outstanding image, Ian. I like everything about it - the verbena, the bg wash, the clean bg behind the bee, the contrasting green and purple colors, the size of the bee, the detail in the bee, the bee's position in the frame, and the bee's interaction with the verbena floret. In summary, I'd say that there's a lot to like in this image (and no nits). :toast:

Terrific sharpness in the bee and a wonderful color palette, Ian. Well seen and presented.
