I went out a couple of weekends ago in search of wildflowers to photograph. I found this cluster of bottle gentian flowers along a creek and was able to photograph them after a brief rain shower. K5 IIS, DA* 300mm f4, 32mm extension, 1/500sec at f4.5. 6 image stack, Levels, contrast, and Topaz Detail for sharpening...............Jim

Nicely seen and photographed, Jim, with excellent stacking and processing. I like very much the way the eye is drawn to the flowers by the lighting - also the gently variegated bg. Lovely, serene image !

I like the purple and green of the flower ...plus the "just off" symmetry and angle of the leaves and stem. :wavey:

Nice stack for great details and a nice, smooth BG Jim. Interesting bloom.
