Aloha sunset

Taken from the north shore of Kauai...the Hawaiians have really figured out how to make great clouds!

Canon 5d, M3, ISO400, f/22, 1/125. Was happy to get the sunstar with the small aperture.

that's a nice little sun-star peeking out from the trees. I like the curved line between land and water but I'm thinking I'd like either more detail in the fg or less fg. I love the sky with it's variety of clouds and interesting layers.

Wow! I know this location extremely well as I have been living on Kauai for the past 32 years and have worked a children's summer youth camp just on the other side of that white picket fence for the past 20 plus years. This is a lovely pic with a well captured sky. Would like to see a little more dynamic range with the FG but otherwise another perfect Kauai sunset. Never gets old.

I like the curve, the sun-star, and the clouds very much. Very nice! It must have been beautiful to see this in person.

BTW: The photo looks a bit dark on my screen.

I do wonder if the photo would have benefited from using a ND-filter to smoothen the sea but I'm not sure what the impact would have been on the clouds. Were the clouds moving fast?

Beautiful scene Kathy with wonderful clouds and sky. I like the sweeping curve of the beach. Very nice.
