Autumn Simplicity
by Zack Clothier
A couple of weeks ago I was down in the Tetons for the fall foliage. And although the government shutdown occurred while I was there and closed the park, I managed to find some other, lesser known, locations to shoot. This was taken in the Bridger-Teton National Forest. The evening light was diffused, adding a nice glow to the aspen trunks.
The shutdown is taking its toll here in Cooke City/Silver Gate, the two small communities just outside the NE entrance of Yellowstone. It's literally a ghost town here, and most of the small businesses are left wondering how much longer they will be able to keep the lights on. It's a shame that a bunch of overpaid government officials cannot get their act together and get this budget issue resolved. It's not hurting them, it's hurting real people, people who make an honest living.
As always your thoughts are welcome. I had to compress this one quite a bit. Please see Larger!

I hear you on the shutdown. It's amazing how many communities rely on that flow.
