Ground Clutter

Most people probably don't think ground clutter is very pretty but I enjoy the different shapes and textures. Shot this on a little nature trail not far from my house.

Please take a peek at the LARGER version for much better detail.

Thanks for looking and leaving your thoughts for improvements or comments.

Bill, I like this presentation a lot. The large wishbone shaped limb does a nice job of framing the intimate scene very well. Can't make any real suggestions on B&W, it's a weak point for me. All I can say is I enjoy the composition as is and think it should make a wonderful print too.

Love the intimate scenes Bill, and love this in B&W, just something about it that really appeals to me, very nice detail and light. Beautifully seen and presented.

The large version's detail is excellent, Bill! I also like your comp and the conversion has lovely silver tones. Well done.

Real nice, Bill! I really enjoy the more everyday nature scenes that can be isolated and composed into a fine image. I like this a lot. It is my kind of image.

This looks great in b&w. It emphasizes the shapes and textures nicely and that forked branch "holding" the moss makes a fine focal point. Yes, the larger view helps a lot in enjoying the complexity.

You definitely have an eye for this stuff, Bill. The title though doesn't do it justice, though. "Clutter" feels a bit negative for a comp that works so well. Light-wise, this feels a bit gray to me. Maybe intentional, but it feels a little too light without some foundational blacks.

This takes a minute to absorb; lots of interesting patterns. I too would like to see a version with a few more deep blacks.
