These Elephants were enjoying the rain. They very much like to throw the wed mud on their backs and scrub against each other. We could watch all this from a close range. The little baby elephant was very well protected by two adults. I think the shape of the heads are most interesting. How older they get, the bigger the dents. Sri Lanka, april 2013.

I like the close up intimate feeling this photo exudes. Beautiful colors, tones and textures that all work together. The little baby provides a key focal point and reason for the photo. Well seen and photographed Ellen.

Great detail on this one, my only bugbear would be the lack of space at the bottom

Not just the dents, Ellen, but notice how the skin turns pinkish. This starts to happen in their late 40's.
