Icing on the ice

My last backpacking trip took me again to the glacier. I was exploring this frozen beauty and going deeper and deeper. When I entered a big crevasse I was surprised to find a small creek flowing at the bottom of it. I followed the water and ended up in the ice cave. The ice formations that I found there surprised me with their shapes and beauty. The creek itself was beautiful and finding the icicles was like adding icing on the cake.
Your comments are always welcome.

This photo is result of blending 11 images for DOF.
Nikon 14-24 @ 14mm f8
It was very challenging to setup camera in this location. I was trying to squeeze myself into this narrow channel, "standing" in the water on front points of the crampons and trying not to shake tripod. Enjoy.

Its a great shot but I am amazed that you needed 11 shots to blend for depth of field. Still it is the result that counts and it speaks for itself.

This is very interesting, with the icy drips lining the stream and the color changes through the ice. Very well done.

Thanks Mark. It was lucky day. Warm day and cold night created conditions where icicle could grow inside the crevasse.
Thanks Ian. I could get away with 8 or 9 shots but wanted to make sure that nothing was missing.

Very cool! It is really hard to get a sense of scale, and in this case I think that is a plus.

as mentioned, very cool and unique comp. Photographers (me included) will love it--not so sure about the public though, dirty ice/snow is usually the kiss of death

Thank you everyone. For me it was one on those moments when I get overwhelm by nature's beauty. I've been to ice cave before but I have never seen anything like this. I felt privileged and rewarded to be able to see and capture this rare moment. Once again I got reminded how nature can surprise us with unexpected. I love exploring and moments like this are answers to the question "why". I'm glad I could feed your imagination and share the moment.
