Yellowstone River Fall

Fall colors came Paradise Valley, MT and the Yellowstone River last week, which partly made up for not being able to get into the Park. This view shows off the colors looking toward Emigrant Peak on a gorgeous fall afternoon. (5D3, 24-70 f2.8 @ 46 mm, f/11, 1/40s, iso 200, tripod, polarizer)

A crisp autumn scene. Nice handling of the stronger light and natural colors.

Great scene Mark,
The colors, reflection, sky and snow capped peaks are all well captured in this composition.
Looks like you may have got your feet wet for this one . . . :toast:

It sure does look like a wonderful afternoon. This is the feel that we all need to help keep us moving on. Looks like a beaver dam there to me, and the reflections are wonderful.

Very nice autumn scene captured here, Mark. The beaver dam seems to have provided the mechanism toward the BG calmer waters allowing the colorful reflections there.
Good job making the best of a bad situation with the recent park closures. In fact, it probably provided a bit of incentive to divert yourself to this scene in the end overall.

Love the way the stream leads to the mountain Mark; nicely placed. The fall color is nice! There may be a slight cyan cast?? On my monitor, I like it with just a touch of red added.

Fantastic image, Mark. The fall colors, the snow capped mountains and the reflections all work beautifully together.

Nice capture of beautiful fall colours. In my opinion the foreground of twigs is kind of distracting from the beautiful fall colour and snow capped mountains and should be cropped out or not included in the image.

Gorgeous view and comp Mark. Looks like there maybe some detail you could pull out in the dark shadow area on the right. None-the-less, a beautiful image.

Yeah, I'd definitely say that this makes up for not getting in the park! I nice reminder that there is astounding beauty in other places. Excellent job lining up this angle!
