I think anyone who lives in Colorado and makes photos has tried this point of view, but it still fascinates me. The yellow leaves against a deep blue sky and "heavenly" leading lines amuse me, even if I've seen it before. So, I now have the requisite Colorado shot in my portfolio and share it here. Maybe the sunstar will add a little uniqueness and interest.

Don't forget the photographers in CA that also have one of these, including me. Nice take on a classic image. There is a reason lots of people have this, it looks good.

Great job on this Russell. Nice comp and the dark blue sky sets it off beautifully. Looks great to me.

I never tire of taking or looking at photos such as this. Great color contrast.

Pretty scene Russ, beautiful color, light and comp, almost gets me dizzy. Beautifully seen and presented.

As Harley already stated there is a reason many photographers have this type of image in their portfolio. Unfortunately I am not one of them. :frown: This is beautifully done, Russell. The converging lines are fantatic and what's not to like with the yellow leaves on a back drop of a blue sky. Nice job with the sunstar BTW.

While lots of folks have made this type of image, yours really resonates in my opinion. Exposure is perfect and the added sunstar really makes this unique. Excellent.

I agree! On my list of things to shoot when I'm in a good stand of aspen. The yellow looks good against the blue.
