On our west coast trip we dipped down into Northern California and through a small part of Redwoods State Park. I got out of the car and wandered down a trail. Within minutes all sounds of the highway were muted and I was alone with these magnificent trees. It was quiet as a cathedral and perhaps equally inspiring. All comments welcome.>=))>

Bill:

For a minute I thought this looks like a waterfall before I realized that these are giant tree trunk. They do look majestic and I can easily see how one can be inspired in this place.

Wonderful image Bill. I like the counterbalance of the dark massive tree and the sunlit delicate leaves in the foreground. I might be tempted to crop some off the bottom to just above where there is a gap in the leaves in the very center.

I, too, thought this would be a waterfall. My suggestion is to crop the bottom area sparse with leaves, and maybe increase the structure/tonal contrast just a bit to give the bark "a little more bite"

Beautiful image, Bill! I love the colors and textures in the foreground tree trunk. The verticle pano is a great way to show these tall trees!

The title is very well chosen, Bill - the image gives you a sense of grandeur and sanctity. I like especially the way the branches gently frame the powerful thrust of the trunk.

I like the idea of a crop from the bottom. No other changes needed, IMO. :toast:

Nice Bill! Good combination of colors with enough detail in the gray bark to make it interesting. Nicely done!

Bill, what I like more are the restful colors and the light contrast in this photo where all is the main subject, without a background. I like it.
Cheers.
