Here is a shot from above Jones Falls in Owen Sound, Ontario. I loved the way the river bent around the trees. Thanks for looking!

Very creative perspective, Wayne. Perfect tonal processing here as well. The roots, exposed from floods no doubt, are really my favorite part.

Wayne, This looks great and I really like your b&w processing on this. Reminds me so much of a place along the Gooseberry River in northern MN and also along the Ontonagon in Upper MI. Very nice!

Hi Wayne,

Interesting perspective, as you said and nothing to change there. I like black and white, although I think that yours in a bit on a dark side. I would like to see a bit more tonal separation between conopies of the trees in the foreground and the water.

Cheers,
Marko

Debating weather its a tad too dark but I really like the feel of this one. The water is very cool and the roots really make this image stand out. I think I wouldn't change a thing..lets see what others have to say. TFS

Beautiful tones and details in this Wayne. I really like the comp with the water wrapping around the trees. Great job on this.

Beautiful shot Wayne, the composition is amazing. It seems a little dark to me, and I have to strain a little bit to see some areas, but the mood is great.

Cool composition and dark tones. Really love those roots, and the way they mimic the shape of the flowing water.

Nice image with interesting compostion. B&W works well on this image, but it's too dark for me.

Impressive composition of force, in my opinion is a bit dark ...

I like the image a lot, but would agree with it being a bit dark for my tastes. The framing gives a great sense of being in the middle of things and what an excellent root display. Good stuff, Wayne.

Thanks for your comments everyone, I appreciate it! While I do agree it is a dark image, the blacks are actually all there... I think compression is squashing that a little.

This is wonderful Wayne. I think it needs to be dark like this for the full effect, but probably needs to be seen with a full-black background to really sing.

A very interesting comp. I like the way the water curves around the exposed roots.

Perspective, tones, framing, and mood are all fantastic Wayne.
I'd like more contrast in zones 1-4, but thats me.
