Heading into winter

Here's an Oct. 5th view looking south down the old Yellowstone trail a day after a storm dropped snow down to about 4500 feet in Montana's Paradise Valley. In driving to higher elevations I went from the fall look in the foreground to over a foot of snow on the mountains in the distance when I turned around to avoid getting stuck. You knew right where to stand, it's a great comp Mark.
I especially like the winding road with its rolling highs/lows, and that 'convoluted' fence running alongside..
Nicely done! :toast:

Really like how the road and the fence lead you back from autumn to winter. Great shot. Those mountains are awesome.

Excellent leading lines going back to those wonderfully coated mountains. A road I would have loved to drive down on this day. Beautiful work.

Love the fence-line. A shot of it alone would be cool....but with such glorious surroundings, this is great

Hi Mark.

This is a great photo. The winding gravel road and wandering fence make me want to visit the site to see the rest of the snow-capped mountains. Well-captured.
