To photograph a crocus. you have to be laying on the ground ... down on your belly. no tripod, your camwera resting near the ground on something solid . thats how i obtained this ground perspective. comments appreciated .. please see large version ......... this is a repost in flora in 2012

Albert: One of my favorite images of yours and one I really envy since we don't have crocus in our part of the world. Beautiful subjects superbly captured. >=))>

Such a wonderful, springy shot of these sweet flowers. Love the in focus flower in the lower left and the progression of out of focus flowers all around and to the back. This is just a perfect image!

I thought this looked familiar, Albert. It's just as good now as it was then with the gentle decrease in sharpness letting the front flowers stand out nicely and the warmth contrast between the center parts and the petals adding tension and interest.

I remember this beautiful picture, Albert! You had posted quite a nice series of crocus images a while back, this being one. I really like the soft focus of most of the scene, with the front flower more in focus. The pastel blue shadings of the crocus are nicely accented with the pops of orange from the stamens of the flowers. Real ethereal feel to this. Very nice!

Beautiful image Albert. They are the first sign of spring on the prairies and I look forward to them every year. Now, if only I could capture them as beautifully as you have. Perfect choice for weekly pick.
