This rose is so luminous, that it almost looks metallic. I took it at night with a flash.

Lucy: I must admit that I generally do not like primary flash lighting on flowers but the metallic effect on this is very nice. Even the thumbnail gave that first impression before even reading your comments. My only 1¢ nit is the light BG spots above and right of the rose. I think I would make them go away and then print large. >=))>

Very beautiful, Lucy ! Love the metallic sheen on the black bg - the flash lighting has worked really well, giving nice variations in light and shade. I think the repost is better.

Lucy - The repost is excellent. Love the Satin like texture and glow on the petals and the front to back DOF. Good work.

The satin look of the yellow rose against the black bg is terrific, Lucy. I like the repost very much.

Hi Lucy :wavey: The satin like sheen produced by the flash taken at night works wonderfully well... i like how you captured the marvelous curves and shapes of this stunning rose ..... the repost is even better.
