Northern Harrier

This bird was coming at me at an angle and when it got too close for its comfort it banked away. I've been after a shot like this for a while and though it's a significant crop I was pleased to get a banking shot without clipping anything.

7D, 1/2000, f/6.3, ISO 640, 500 f/4, 1.4 tc, shot from pickup window on 11/25/13, cropped to 50% of original image, minor exposure adjustment, sharpened bird, no additional processing or adjustments, not set up, baited or called in

Hi Ron,
What an appropriate shot to capture for someone with a "Harrier" license plate. Well done!
Is that a remnant of it's last meal on it's beak?

Hi Neil, Yes it is - most likely vole blood.

Ron, I can't believe out of all the awesome Harrier shots you have posted on this site, you didn't have one banking. I certainly would have never noticed...seems like you have a hundred of these. Excellent work as usual! BTW...I love the two toned BG
