Haydon Valley Bison

Caught this bison after only an hour or so in the park on my first trip to Yellowstone last September. I like this one because it is a bit different. The rocks and small hill offered a different setting from what I normally experienced with these guys.

Beautiful bison. He looks to be in prime condition. I like the angle created by the bison on the hillside. Nice work.

I agree the setting is a positive element. My wish would be for a clearer look at the eye, ideally with some reflective catchlight.
