Another from the Bosque...this one was taken during the workshop. I have a large series from this particular display, and while I don't like the 3rd crane in this image, I do like the head shadow that it provided on the displaying crane's wing. Image was cropped slightly from the left to remove a 4th crane's head. It was so much fun watching them do this!

50D, 500mm, ISO 1000, 1/3200, F4 LARGER image provided.
Thank you to those that take the time to comment/critique....I appreciate it. Sharon

Love the behavior/interaction captured Sharon, I like this a lot!
I also like that serendipitous head shadow, I think it adds a bit of magic
Great comp, light, & colors, nice stop action as well :toast:

Very nice Sharon. I always love watching the puffery and showmanship display put on by the cranes.

Good interaction and a nice moment. I like that all of the birds are involved in one way or another. Cool shadow too. :toast:

Great interaction with the cranes. The shadow on the wing is pretty cool. I think it bring down the brighter areas of the image just a bit. I think it would help make the image pop just a bit.

Thank you all! Keith...I thought it was a bit bright, but was unsure about losing that "magic morning light" look! Thank you...I reworked it quickly and think it looks better.

Neat display pose, Sharon, and gorgeous light. Hard to separate them from the crowd down there. The repost does look much nicer.

The colors are exceptional, such a beautiful scene. I like the darker version, both are nice,

Very nice job on the repost Sharon, I like the shadow a lot here. With 3 birds like this I probably would have stopped down to F5.6 considering the amount of shutter speed you were working with. :toast:
