The weather outside has been frightful and my warm furnace is so delightful , and since I have no place to go, I will hibernate inside away from the cold and snow !! ;)

Not been online much this winter as old man winter is not kind to my old bones. Will endeavor to be more active on the site.

Grain Elevators are a vanishing beauty on the Prairies ,awhile back I tried to photograph any I could find with in my area as some now have given over to the bulldozer.

This is great, Lorna. I like the old-timey treatment with such a fitting subject. :toast:

I agree, the "old-timey" processing works very well here Lorna!
I've been watching the weather reports, you guys up there are in deep freeze mode..
I would be hibernating too

Thanks guys !

Howard the cold is not so bad if your dressed for it ,it's the wind that gets you. Minus 40ish winds have teeth that like to bite !

My least favorite words are "Extreme Wind Chill Warning " !!!

Great subject and great treatment of it.

It looks just like one of my negatives before I clean it up.

Lorna, I love this! I'm originally from Kansas and I love prairies and old farms. Your processing is perfect for this type of image. I would hibernate too with those wind chills. Brrrr!
