Ice & Fire 2

The southern end of the snowstorm that pounded New England a week ago dropped 5 - 6 inches of powdery snow, and then provided me with sunshine and some icicles the next day. I found this icicle with colored sunbursts on both sides. There was a pretty steady breeze, so I consider my self lucky to have gotten a few sharp close-ups. This is so nice with the multi-colored sparkles and sharp details. Excellent capture.

Lucky? I don't think so, Mark. Just well seen and expertly captured and processed. The range of colors in the refracted sunstars is extraordinarily cool.

Wow, a sweet little gem. You know the saying, "the harder I work, the luckier I get." I'm pretty sure that would be the case here. Really nice catch.

Very cool image, Mark! (pun intended!) I love the detail in the ice and the beautiful multi-colored sunstars.

Mark, you sure know how to bring out the beauty in ice! Nicely diffused background, great details on the ice, but those colored starbursts really take this image over the top! Well done.

Beautiful piece of macro work Mark..
Simple & effective comp, and those colored sunbursts really steal the show.
Be well! :toast:
PS - I think the title should be Fire & Ice, rolls off the tongue better
