Great Sand Dunes Repost

I thought this was in my gallery, so I reworked it a bit recently and thought I would add it. I find it often difficult in GSD to get the color balance I want, and although I have a calibrated monitor, oftentimes my prints tend to differ quite a bit from what I see in Photoshop, so I would like to hear what others think about it. I shot this late afternoon in mostly sunny conditions in May 2008. Cropped from 4/3rds original. Larger image included.

I like the soft feel of this, and while I like the blue the sky adds, a crop to exclude it is nice too.

A very delicate look to this one, Bill. I really like the softness to the scene overall. The dunes have an almost creamy look to them. The composition works just fine as is IMO.

The soft light creating the subtle contrast on the diagonally position dunes is very nice. A very peaceful scene of an ever shifting environment. I like the sky here as it adds to the softness. I wouldn't change a thing.

I like it. Looks and feels like frosting! Smooth and creamy and fluid. I like the blue sky, too. Taking out the sky makes it almost abstract to me. I like it both ways. Nice.

Very nice Bill. This has a wonderful softness about it and I love the smooth creamy texture. I think your comp works great too.

Smooth tones and colors in this Bill which seem to match the composition very nicely. Nicely done image.

I like this very much as presented, Bill. The light and smooth textures lend a nice comfortable feel to this scene. I could also see this working as an abstract, but I like the inclusion of the sky.

This is special, Bill. The creamy whites are very inviting and the shadows show off the wave action wonderfully. The light blue in the sky seems the perfect complement.
