Lines and shadows

Sending a picture in black and white where I tried to emphasize the look and feel of the tree lines (backlit) and the shadows on the snow. Any comment is welcome.

Canon eos 5d mark II; 28-70mm lens; f/11; 1/250 sec.; ISO 400.

Lovely take on a difficult subject, and you even got some sparkling crystals in the foreground. Very nice comp and B and W is a good choice here.

Very nice B&W conversion and composition. It has a very dynamic feel with the line of the sloped hill and the shadow lines. Nicely seen. :toast:

I like your composition and the small version especially conveys an unexpected feeling of motion.

I love the POV and the long shadows in this image, Roberto. The B&W works really well and those ice crystal highlights are beautiful. My only suggestion would be to clone out the vertical line in the snow about a third of the way from the RS. It breaks up the wonderful flow of the shadows for me. Just a suggestion of course.

This is a fantastic point of view and composition, and the exposure and conversion are excellent. Reminds me of the days of B&W film artistry.

The sweeping shadows add nice movement to this and the ridge adds nice tension to the scene Roberto. Looks great in B&W. Nice job on this.

This really does show off the lines of the shadows. They really pull my eyes to the tree with the sun behind it. The steep ridge line of snow helps create an interesting sense of vertigo with the shadow lines that I doubt would work as well in color. Well seen, Roberto.
