Indoor quince blossom. The quince usually bloom in early February but this year they are early. I like the shadows and translucent effect.

Canon Rebel xTi, ISO400, f/5.6, 1/13 sec., 100mm.macro

Thanks in advance for any comments and critiques.

Simple and elegant. I too like the backlit petals, nicely done.

The back lit petals of the quince are really cool. Very delicate and subtle light.

Great use of backlighting to showcase these delicate looking petals, Kathy. Good comp with the angled branch and the two flowers. and the vertical orientation works great with this. Your DOF choice works well too. My only suggestion, if you wished, would be to use a reflector in front of the flowers to deflect some light onto the flower centers. But great this way too.

The blooms are lovely and shown off well by the lighting. They also blend nicely with the background color. Well done.

Very pleasing shot Kathy. Nicely composed with a background that shows off this beautiful bloom without overwhelming it. The backlighting really enhances it and I was happy to see the interior (pistles & stamens?) are nice and sharp. Thanks for sharing.

Love the colours and play of light - congrats on a fine WP!
Isn't our weather weird (and scary)?
