Orange-winged Amazons

I have recently returned from spending about 7 weeks in Ecuador. One of the highlights was the many species of parrots we photographed around Sani Lodge and at the Napo clay licks. These Orange-winged Amazons flew over our canoe one morning at Sani.

Works well as a vertical Nate. Would love to see a catchlight in the lower bird's eye.

Hi Nate - Nice capture. To me, the image might benefit from a bit of the sky on top cropped away. Over all, a nice image of beautiful birds.

Impressive given the lens and canoe. Good work getting both in focus and coordinated formation.

Nice job stacking these birds atop each other with nice looks at the wings and eyes. The lighting underneath the birds is beautiful and composition overall is nice.

Nice flight image, Nate. I like the similar wing positions, and the image quality is great. Just enough cloud in the sky to provide some variety to the bg.

The lighting on this double flight shot is beautiful. Both birds are nicely in focus. I was at first thinking there is no catchlight in the lower bird's eye because it is shadowed by the other bird, but there is no shadow, just the tilt of the bird's head. So...I think adding a catchlight to the lower bird's eye would make this image perfect. Sharon
