Texas Coot

I found this coot among the ducks at a local Fort Worth pond. It was late afternoon and the sun was at a low angle. I liked the way the light played on the water. Coots are difficult, with the black plumage and the white beak. It's hard to get them both to come out right.

Comments and critiques welcome.

Good exposure; interesting water. I'd personally prefer a different head position.

The exposure is very good. The head angle isn't ideal. And I think the shot would benefit from a lower angle.

I like the water and the nice details you captured in the blacks. They are tough to expose properly! Sharon
