In the midst of this cold and snowy winter, I felt the need to view a warm and sunny image. This was taken last summer in a nearby sunflower field.

Canon 60D. 90mm macro lens. F/6.3 at 1/640 sec. ISO 1000 (it was windy). Tripod mounted, natural lighting.

Thank you for this bright and sunny image on another snow day here in Parker. Excellent color, detail, and I like the comp, too. The two bees are in great position opposing each other giving a good exercise for the eye. Lots to like with this one.

Very nice Carolyn. The center of this sun flower is mesmerizing and the complementary bg is awesome. Beautiful composition and the bees kick it up a notch.

This is certainly a warm-up. I love the cheerful mood and the two bees are perfect for completing the summer afternoon feel.

Carolyn:

The center of the sunflower is always very fascinating to look at and you have captured this very well. I am sure the bees like it too.

A classic summer image, with good detail and a nice complementary background. The two bumblebees are an exquisite lagniappe. :toast:

Carolyn in the larger view this image is splendid. What have you whispered to the insects for keeping those places around the circle? Beautiful.
Cheers.
