White-throated Sp
by Sharon Hallowell
Another from our wintery backyard. These White-throated Sparrows are amongst the hardiest of our winter birds. I see them everywhere in the hedgerows along the road when the ground is snow covered, but they're not so shy that they don't enjoy coming to my feeders.
I like the snowy scene in this and the almost tucked in foot. I do wish the tail was sharper, but at the low shutter speed, I probably caught a little movement. From comments by Keith on some previous images, I boosted the mid-tones in this a little and added some extra sharpening. Please let me know what you think!

I really like this image. The fact the bird is holding up one leg like his feet are cold makes this snowy scene even colder.Good job getting a good sharp image at 1/30 sec with a focal length of 700 mm.
