Hallett Peak rises above the wind driven clouds yesterday morning.
Large version really needs to be seen,
Morris

Neat that you got that much separation of Hallett from its neighbors, Morris. I sure do like the comp with the foreground trees and especially the lighting

Nicely composed. It conveys the feeling of early morning chill with the promise of warmth from the rising sun.

I really like the separation and drama of the peak.
The subtle pink the clouds is just right.
I think a bit more light at the bottom with a tad of color in the trees would look nice.

Awesome drama and atmosphere in those clouds, Morris. I like the warmth along the top edge along with the game of hide and seek they are playing with the mountains.

Really nice, Morris! "Majesty" is the best word that comes to mind. The foreground tree in the middle distracts my eye a little, but that's a minor nit. Nice work!

Whoa, clouds revealing the peak are always nice, but such powerfully beautiful light on the peak and the clouds it a lot more than nice! Fantastic capture, Morris!

Great shot, It's a shame the largest tree is so big though.

Looks like a massive alien spaceship just crash landed. I too would have preferred that foreground tree to not block the peak, but it's minor.

Morris: Wonderful capture of the moment that reminds me I've been away from the park too long. Headed there in early November. BTW, what is the status of the flood damage up that way? >=))>

Thanks everyone for your comments.
Thanks, Bill. There aren't too many signs around Estes Park that there was damage. Of course, I just drove through. Except to have breakfast after. No signs I noticed in the Park either, but there was a lot of snow covering everything. Highway 36 has signs everywhere from Lyons on that there was a devastating flood recently. Lots of cleanup going on along 36 and highway 7 through to Allenspark. There are major delays right now along 36 as they rebuild it, with a detour around on 7 being the best way. There are some slowdowns on 7, but the delays on 36 can be hours long. I'm not sure how much progress will have been made by the time summer gets here, but it should be farther along by November.
Be sure and let me know when you are coming as I would love a chance to meet you, and perhaps shoot together!
