One of my favourite road shots which I made during one of my 2012 New Zealand workshops. I had driven through the Lindis Pass many times without ever encountering the right conditions that I had envisioned till that point. When I saw the snow-capped peaks and moody sky, we made an unscheduled stop which turned into a couple of hours shooting some changing light.

The light is just amazing here. I clicked on the thumbnail, and when the page came up, I said Wow... and then another Wow when I looked at the larger version. This is an image that would probably be best appreciated on a very large scale!

The curvature of the road lends itself perfectly to the image, drawing the eye in, in a serpentine way. And all the light in the center of the image keeps it there. Questions: what software did you use to process this? And if you could describe a little about what you did, that would be great. I really like the way it came out. And did you add a bit of vignetting to the corners, or did it come out of the camera this way? I couldn't tell.

I'm usually not a big fan of road shots, but this is very sweet. Wonderful light and sky .

Boy is that alot of detail. Another bold processing with this image. Seattle weather is like this most of the year, I am inspired to try something like this.

Rebecka, I under-exposed this one deliberately as I pre-visualised this as a dark presentation with an area of natural spot lighting in the centre. Processing in photoshop mainly for contrast and some vignetting applied.
