I joined the hundreds of photographers trying to get the iconic Horsetail Falls Firefall shot in Yosemite over the weekend of Feb. 21 and 22, 2014. We were all rewarded with a beautiful showing on Friday, Feb 21. Amazing to watch the tiny trickle of water turn into this beautiful display. My first time seeing it.

Almost looks like lava Jeff. Been to Horse Tail falls once but never witnessed this excellent display.

It's a bit dark fro my taste, Jeff. Having said that, it is a spectacular photograph that I would love to have. It really does look like lava and will make a beautiful print. :toast:

There doesn't look like there was much water but it's still a magnificent display. I bet everyone was super happy. I always wonder, can this really be the only waterfall on earth that this phenomenon happens to. Just like I wonder if there's another Racetrack like at Death Valley.
I must shoot here one day Jeff.
