Finally got out for a quick jaunt with fellow NPN'rs Bruce King and Catherine Reilly last Sunday.

We shot some stuff around the Carbon River near MRNP. I love the fact that things are so lush and green around here even in the dead of winter. Here's one of my favorite images from the day.

I'm a sucker for moss covered boulders. This is lovely

Man, this is refreshing, Joe. It's hard for me to imagine this kind of scenery here in the desert. I really enjoyed the large view. Very nice.

I'm enjoying the large view too, Joe! The light and color looks very nice and I love the textures you captured. Nice work on this!

Beautiful little stretch Joe! The water texture looks really good too. I'd be tempted to add a touch of blue (it looks a little yellow on my monitor), and maybe play with cloning out that small branch in the upper left (not a big deal).

I was also pondering cloning that branch out John. I just might do that when I get a chance. Maybe add a little more blue as well and repost...

I like the diagonal flow and the textures here. It feels a bit underexposed on my monitor.

Here's a rework incorporating John and Tony's suggestions...

I sure do like how you've got the stream angled across the frame and how that is mimicked by the rocks along the far side. Making that one branch go away and brightening are good improvements, but the repost seems too green to me...maybe something in between colorwise.

Wonderful composition, Joe, with nice texture in the water. Your final edit is just right in my opinion. Excellent work.

I like the lighter version better. It's a pleasant improvement on a great image,

Tim!
