Antelope Canyon, Arizona

I think B&W does this place more justice than the "kick-in-the-pants" color versions I have seen and processed myself. B&W accentuates the light and shadow play in this wonderful place. Let me know what ya think. Thanks for having a look.

Well you know, Eva, I'm in complete agreement. Of course that could just be me. :biggrin Ii really like this take on Antelope. I think I would prefer a bit more detail in the darker areas, but not much ( just a wee bit ). The large view is very nice.

That is maybe my favourite photograph from that place I've seen Eva, I think it's just sensational :toast:
The B&W works so well and the light and texture are stunning. A wonderful graphical feel to it.

I agree, this does work exceptionally well. I also agree with wanting a little more deep shadow detail, but not much. I think you need some black here or it to work as well as it does.

This is really cool looking! A wonderful b&w image Eva! It works well for me as is, and especially in the large version where I can see just enough detail in the shadow.

Awesome! Exquisite tones in the central area looking at the deep recesses.

I'm fine with the dark (larger version essential, with its gray background), but I'd tone down that upper left corner. It steals my eye from the central beauty.

Came back for another look. I do agree with John on the upper left corner and think that could make it even more pleasing to look at. I do like this a lot! Nick

This is a wonderful departure from the color images and the large version is definitely the one to look at. I agree the upper left hand needs to be calmed down a little, but this is a very nice job, Eva. Chet

I like the B&W too. Amazing what Nature can create for photographers, isn't it?

The big spiral looks great, Eva. There are also some fine subtle gradations in the darker area seen in the larger version.

I like the stark contrasting tones in this one, Eva. I agree that the B&W is a refreshing change for slot canyon images, but I think it's probably more difficult to do well. I think you have certainly done well with this image.

Incredible, Eva, simply incredible. A vortex of tone and line that draws the eye back and back.

I love this Eva. Great composition and processing. One of the finest Antelope images I've seen. I think I agree with your B&W assessment.

Beautiful lines. Good choice on the B&W. The lack of detail in the shadows looks just fine to me. I might be tempted to crop a bit off the top and thereby take out a little of the negative space?

Very nice, very surreal take on a common scene. Actually, I feel like I'm falling down through this image!
