This is a Lock at Cascade Locks in Oregon. It is based on a photo I took in 2013. I used Photoshop CC, a texture, some painting, and especially Layer styles. My camera is a Nikon d7100, I used a Tamron 10-24 lens.

Love it. I think I would like it even more if the upper part containing the blue sky were cropped.

I like the overall effect but would tweak a couple of things. In the area over the water on the horizon I would minimize the dark spots and make that area brighter to pull the viewers eye through the image. I would also lessen the texture overall by about 50%. Just my take- not to say it works for you.

Hi Jeff Bob echoed my thoughts perfectly...... reworking the area over the water would make this fine image even better

The painterly effects work really well here, Jeff. Congrats on a well deserved WP.
