This is most likely the same individual as the last post, shot on the second morning. BIF shots for me are rather hit and miss, but I thought this one turned out pretty fair. cropped to 3:2 aspect from 4/3rds original. Larger image included.

Nice gliding position. All the techs look solid and the detail is very nice. Looks to be coming up into breeding color based on the deepening red in the bill. Nice work.

I like the gliding pose, the nice light and the land/water BG. Beautiful and graceful bird. Never seen one so far.

This sure looks like Big Red from Fort Desoto Park. Lovely colors and your choice of comp works with this pose.

Nice shot, Bill. What I like is that the egret looks so relaxed in its glide.

As far as the crop, I wouldn't mind a bit off the top, but that's not really a big deal. It's very well done as-is.
