Great perspective Shane. I really like the contrast of the sharp, grainy, and geometric salt formation with the motion-blurred clouds.Very nice concept.

Excellent compostion and low angle perspective, Shane. A wonderful shot that would look great printed large! For my tastes, I would play with the WB a bit for the fg, which feels like it has a bit of a cyan cast to my eye. Also, the sky colors are a little over the top for me - I guess that would be due to the Velvia?

As a composition, this is tops for me. I agree with Doug—I would play with the H & S a bit to get the look I wanted.

Classic Death Valley. I actually like the cool foreground --- typical film colors.
Did you take it this year? I heard that the salt flat was flooded.

Looks great, Shane. I really like the color and foreground detail. I struggled finding areas with well-formed polygons when I was there recently.

Love the patterns of the foreground and the superb texture must be truly amazing on that 8x10 Velvia 50. Also really like the contrast between the motion of the clouds and the geometry of the foreground. An outstanding image.

Beautiful image, Shane. Nothing I could say to improve it. The FG texture and low angle really work well. Sweet capture.

A photo I have seen way too many times, but your colors make it refreshing! Nice job.
