Holy cow this was handheld shooting a live subject!? Before I read your text I thought it was probably a carefully set-up macro shoot with a deceased butterfly. Amazing detail!! It's nice to have a close-up image of the texture and color of the wings - not things that can be easily appreciated with the naked eye as these subjects are flying by.

Top marks for getting a hand held close up with this kind of detail on a living subject.

Well done, Yun. Excellent job filling the frame and aligning the plane of focus. I like the comp featuring the four "eyes" on the wing.

Fine close up of this wing and the arc of eyes. The details are luscious.

Very nice details, especially shooting under the restrictions of the b-fly house.
Great closeup work, well done Yun

This is gorgeous, and I think these butterflies usually move quickly. Love the diagonal lines and circles, the colors, and textures.
