Last summer, I had fun observing and photographing this tiny spider in action as he was swinging around on my Hosta flower buds. In this shot, he had just landed via a web strand on this flower bud.

Canon 60D. 180mm macro lens. F/8 for 1/250 sec. ISO 500. Tripod mounted, natural lighting. Sunlit background.

Wow, are those catchlights in the spider's (multiple) eyes!? I'm not expert on macro so I'll leave the comments on technicals to others; just wanted to say that I really like the Easter-egg colors present in the image. You've made the spider look elegant with this floral setting.

Excellent, Carolyn. I like the comp, the watercolor look, and the tiny web strand. The image has a very appealing "cuteness." :toast:

This is way cool, Carolyn, with amazing sharpness on the spider and a great collection of color "washes" around it.

Wonderful color scheme to this and I think this would work as a vertical crop as well, way to go.

Sweet image. I like the color palette and processing here. This looks like a pastel illustration.

This looks just like a Green Lynx spiderling, with its very small size and trailing line.
Nice colors & contrasting BG, well composed.
Tells a 'little' story too
Well done Carolyn :toast:
