The Goosenecks viewed from Muley Point, Utah. I was looking for an image that would convey the vastness and the solitude of this area; I'd like to think that's what I have captured here.

This is a very cool, creative composition Adam! I'd try to bring out some of the detail in the shadows, but that's a minor point.
Great photo! Thanks for sharing.

Excellent image! The person included achieves the goal of giving a sense of scale and solitude. Nice sky

Great shot. The sky is perfect and the composition is very interesting. The addition of the person really adds to the shot, I think.

Yep...you succeeded in showing the vastness and depth. Only nit is as Bret stated...a tad more detail and light would put this over the top. Nicely executed, Adam.

The shadow areas aren't as bad in the non-web version.
I never thought about the 'Rowell' aspect of this shot, maybe I've spent too much time looking at his photos. Didn't he say that he always took two photos? One for himself and another with a human figure for the editors.

Adam: FANTASTIC! I certainly feel the vastness of the area from this shot. I really like it, and I like the person for scale. The colors are great too.
